Push Hard, Have Fun!

I lift for many reasons, prime among them is that it’s fun for me.  I LIKE being in the weight room…the grittier and more hardcore the better.  I like the energy generated by people working with intensity.  I like the clang of the weights, the sweat, the flying chalk.  I like the personal challenge, the blisters, the soreness…all of it. I stick with it because I enjoy it.  It’s the glue that binds me to the iron.

I like to lift…

…and I like to watch other people lift!

People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing (Dale Carnegie)

Work is either fun or drudgery.  It depends on your attitude.  I like fun. (Colleen C. Barrett)

Whatever you do at the gym make it

Your long-term success depends on it!

  1. Wow! Thank you! I continuously wanted to write on my website something like that. Can I take a fragment of your post to my website?

    1. MESS!! I was looking for you…glad you popped by. I put up a picture for you when I thought you were coming back. It’s in the post about hard work here and the picture was up at bb.com. I’m wearing some shorts that say OOHRAH across the back! Lol…got them when I was visiting San Diego! Hope all is well..things are good here. Looking forward to your return!

    Be Safe!

    1. Oh! That was SO sweet…silver tongue over there…I LOVE it!!

  4. Hey you! Yes, just like all the other thousands of people, I’m loving’ on your Physique! I love the gym…I like sweating and the sounds of the grunts of people trying to get that last rep! Considering all the noises (sometimes the smell), the large gathering of people (which I am not particularity fond of), it allows me a moment of time in this busy thing we call life to just focus all of me to myself! I look forward to it each and every day!

    1. I know what you mean. I’m not a crowd lover either but I do like the energy generated by a room full of hard workers in the gym. It really is one time we can focus and concentrate on self. It quiets all the other thoughts and allows us to keep company with ourselves just for a while…I call it active meditation….Thank you for the sweetness too…

  5. You are so right…fitness is fun to me and it’s like therapy for the body and also like a masterpiece…sculpting a form of pliable clay into something great. Gorgeous smile DryLynn on the photo and I see those quads are coming along great..niceeee…You rock.

    1. Thank you!! It IS fun!! I really enjoy it. I think when you first start out, you have to FIND the fun in it but once you get in the groove, it’s a beautiful thing!

  6. You are so very right, lifting should be fun. I also love the fact that we do have control to a certain degree for sculpting our physique to meet our fitness goal. Needless to say one’s A-tude plays a major role with our physique success. Apparently you walk the walk and talk the talk because you have sculpted a very beautiful and symmetrical physique and that heart-melting smile is just another bonus 🙂 UROCK Doctor Lynn 🙂

    1. Well your good A-tude is second to none! Love your use of the word control…YES control, control, control. Lol…I think all lifters love that aspect of the pursuit!
