I’ve completed week 1 of my new plan by Jim Stoppani.  I’m feeling happy and energized.  At the end of the week, I was quite sore.  I see that as a good thing since it means I’m taxing my body differently than I was before I started the program.  They say “Pain is weakness leaving the body.”  Apparently, I had a lot of weakness that needed to be shown the door.  That’s perfectly fine by me!

I thought I’d take a “before” photo so I could do a side-by-side comparison after week 12.  That way I’ll be able to see how it’s going.


This is where I’m starting. I’m hoping for more muscle and more definition…and more time in the day. Can Jim Stoppani make more time in my day? Nah…but while I’m hoping I might as well add that to the list!

    1. Aw…you’re always so sweet to me. I love it! I’m having a great time with this program. It’s challenging and fun. I’m doing exercises I haven’t done in years (and a few I’ve never done before). It’s great to rely on someone else for the plan of the day. Even if I don’t gain a lot of muscle, it’s been a good change for me. I feel refreshed and enthusiastic again.

      Hope you’re doing wonderfully. These are such crazy days. I’m happy I have my gym time to get away and focus on small things a few times a week. I call it my active meditation time…

    1. Hi! I’m so happy to hear from you. I guess we have some kind of sympathetic vibe going on (yes, I grew up in San Francisco). I think about you periodically but yesterday you were on my mind quite a bit. I was trying to figure out how to fashion a note to see if you were being good to yourself these days. I’ve been wondering whether you’re walking and if you’re eating good food. Yeah, old Mother Hen.

      Spain sounds like an adventure. I’m delighted that you’re going. I’ll bet you’ll see some interesting, thought provoking things on your journey.

    1. Thank you. I just need a bump up in mass. I’m always on that hunt for more muscle and this program might do the trick. We’ll see. At the very least, it’s something new for me and therefore I’m enjoying it.

    1. Aw…you’re sweet. I’ll probably do one every three weeks because that should allow enough time in between to really see something…I hope. I’m feeling very impatient. I want to see results NOW. Ha…the soul of patience, as always!
