Victory!

I’m delighted to tell you that the beautiful military working dogs who were scheduled to be put down this week have been given a reprieve.  They will be “re homed” with people who will care for them the way they deserve after all their hard work!

Thank you, thank you to all of you who took a minute to sign the petition.  It made all the difference in this case.  The number of signatures topped out at 374,304 (in just 4 days) and was still going strong, before the Defence Secretary responded and ordered that the dogs be saved.

Love and hugs to all who helped in the quest to save these dogs!

      1. I did what I could because us humans can choose our fate, but the animals are not.

  4. Well done, this is fantastic!

    1. It’s wonderful news and a good example of how people can work together to accomplish a goal. I’m so happy that those beautiful dogs will be able to live out their lives in good, welcoming homes!

  5. I completely missed your post and am truly sorry. Military heros (human or canine) do not deserve to be euthanized without just cause. I appreciate all your effort and the results achieved in this situation.
You have a good heart. Thanks for all your effort.

    1. Thank you! I’m still on cloud nine. I just couldn’t stand the thought that these beautiful, loyal dogs were going to be put down. The news that the petition worked just put a song in my heart!

      1. I can completely relate to you wanting to have an impact on the lives of others (whether human or canine.)

I continue raising money for children with critically ill diseases so they AND THEIR FAMILIES can have an all expense paid trip to Give Kids The World Village in Florida. (84 acres of pure enjoyment where dreams really do come true!)

Every year I hear the expression, “children are our future.” I’m just not sure what many of us are doing to provide pathways to help improve the quality of their lives. This is just one of the many efforts I’m pursuing to add credible meaning to the phrase, “our children are our future.”

      2. Of course I don’t consider your wonderful cause an imposition. I will definitely go over and check it out…and I hope anyone else reading this does the same!

      3. Thank you so much. I hope you find this organization one worth supporting. Either way, I appreciate your willingness to take a look.
        Have a great weekend.
